Search Box

I have tried to put a search box into my site: www.reccomended.co.uk but it
will not work even with the extensions. My ISP, Webfusion says that FP2003 is
not compatible with their service, too modern? they only support upto FP2002.
ANY IDEAS how I can get around this?
Thanks

The last version of FPSE is 2002, so that is not an issue really. Keep in
mind that MS released FP 2003 but not FPSE 2003.

Having said that, have you tried Tools - Recalculate Hyperlinks before
publishing? And make sure you publishing (not using FTP).
http://www.loudexpressions.com/2007/10/frontpage-is-running-slow might also
offer a few suggestions. But an error message would be nice to know as well.

Their advice is not correct. Frontpage 2003 uses the FP 2002 extensions.
Any FP webbot feature like the search will work with the FP2002 extensions.
For the search to work I think the host needs to turn on the "indexing"
service on their servers.

According to http://uptime.netcraft.com/up/graph?site=www.reccomended.co.uk
-your site is on a Windows 2003 server
Windows 2003 server don't support WAIS search and will not support Index Catalog if your host does not want to run Index Server
(many don't)

Plus According to http://www.reccomended.co.uk/_vti_inf.html your site/host are not running the FP SE
- required for any run time tools
