fpse 2002??

Pam

where can I download the fp2002 se ?? it seems that microsoft has removed
them from their site? I'm running xp pro with fp2003 and my se read as
2000 - and I'm wondering if installing the 2002 extensions would enable me
to fix my problem of not being able to read from localhost? I've tried
everything - uninstalling fp2003/ uninstalling IIS, rebooting ect ect -
defrag, clean disk...ect ect...reinstall fp/iis ... check se, recalculate
web ... everything looks fine ... just can't pull up or publish to localhost
in fp2003!!!!!!

If there is nowhere on the web to download the 2002 se - if someone has
them, can you email them to me please? I've downloaded the 2 updates and the
patch...all I need is the extensions.

thank
Pam

The FP extensions are no longer available for downloading. FP2003 can work with the FP2000
extensions.

Hi Pam:
The FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 web download is not available anymore
from the Microsoft web sites. This is due to the fact that the mainstream
support for FrontPage Server Extensions 2002 web download which follows the
Office XP/FrontPage 2002 life cycle expired on 7/11/2006. The following
article explains the timelines:
http://support.microsoft.com/lifecycle/?p1=1902

However, we understand that customers might need this download in situations
where existing FPSE2002 installations are hampered in one way or the other.
Considering this, it may be possible to obtain this download for
reinstallation purposes only if you call MS support.

My problems went away when I uninstalled Norton AntiVirus - I know that
doesn't help you and I'm really sorry about that.

If you are doing a reinstall, you should be able to get the original
download from Microsoft Product Support. Once you install that, then you
would apply the patches and other updates.
