I have just installed FP2003 and published to it from ISP a web site
previously created with Fp2002. When I try to view the search page ( my
local server on my laptop) I get an error:

http://xxx/MyWeb/_vti_bin/shtml.dll/search.htm

FrontPage Error.
User: please report details to this site's webmaster.

Webmaster: please see the server's application event log for more details.

It works fine on the ISP. Any suggestions?

You will need to reindex the site in FP 2003 because it doesn't know there's a search page or that
the site has been indexed.

That was done, but still I cannot get the search page to work.

Have you configure Index Server to create a index catalog for the site as web set the properties of
the site to allow it to be index?

If yes and you are still having the problem, then suggest you post to the MS Index Server newsgroup.

When I check the services, Indexing Service is started, and startup type is
automatic..
Is there something special I have to do to configure Index Server??

Yes, you have to create a index catalog for the site, from within the Index Server MMC. You will
need to post to the Index Server newsgroup for help with setting this up, as it is really not a FP
issue.
