HELP!
well - not a huge deal, but i can't seem to get my XPHome SP2 screen saver
to start anymore. Don't know what caused it but noticed recently that the
screen saver isn't kicking in at the set time:
here is what i have tried so far, so any help would be greatly appreciated:
- in regedit, HKCU>CP>desktop>ScreenSaveActive=1 ... confirmed
- in regedit, HKCU>CP>desktop>ScreenSaveTimeOut=60 ... confirmed
- in regedit,
HKCU>CP>desktop>SCREENSAVE.EXE=C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr ...
confirmed
- confirmed C:\Windows\System32\scrnsave.scr exists
- tried adjusting wait time in Display > Screen Saver [tab] and waiting
- tried stopping the HID service (as per
http://support.microsoft.com/default.aspx?scid=kb;en-us;326719)
- tried disabling Norton Anti-Virus ... didn't work (and re-enabled)
can't figure it out! any suggestions or other help would be greatly
appreciated!
thanks,
