Hi:
There is NO Screen Saver to kick-in on the notebook.

I did several trials in my attempts of making 'Screen Saver'
kick-in, from 3 minutes to 10 minutes for setting.

However, no matter how hard I tried to make it kick-in,
Screen Saver never comes to the screen, even waiting about
20-30 minutes. The notebook is hooked-up with a wall outlet,
then I can use as long as I want. But, I need to see 'screen saver'
on the screen when I am not using.

How to make the Screen Saver kick-in?
Or, what's wrong with it?
The notebook I just purchased yesterday from local CircutCity.

Thanks for your help in advance.

Take a look at this link for some tips on troubleshooting screen saver
issues.

If this is a new laptop and not working as it should you might consider
returning it.

Check the control panel - power option settings and make sure that they
integrate with the screen saver settings. Also, check your computer manual
and, if necessary, email customer service. It could be something weird with
your particular brand of laptop.

HI;
Thanks for the responses.

I found the hard way, because the issue sent me to the HP Chat Site, but it
still didn't cure the problem.

Here, on this board after having scrolled down, one of threads caught my eye
that has the same issue as mine. In reading, the issue is NOT inside the
computer, rather 'wireless mouse,' since I am not impressed 'touch pad' that
needs my fngers rolling.

If any of you love to activate 'Screen Saver,', the 'wireless mouse' needed
to be disconnected.

Now, it works beautifully.

I had the same problem, read the note on the wireless mouse, disconnected it,
and magically the screen saver works again. Thank you so much for all you
people that share great information.

Happy New Year.

Larry
