Does anyone know how to restore a screen saver image? My screen goes totally
black at the desired time interval and no longer display the screen saver
image that I selected. I can Preview it, but it won't show up when the set
time interval kick in.

Thank You,
Chipmunk

Hi Nels,

Thank you for your posting.

Before moving on, could you please help us confirm following points?

1. Does the issue occur since clean install? Did you encounter same
issue before?
2. Did you make any changes or install any software/hardware on the
computer recently?
3. Did you install the latest Windows XP Service Pack? (For more
information: KB326719 Screen Saver May Not Start in Windows
XP(http://support.microsoft.com/kb/326719))

Mostly, the issue is caused by a software/hardware conflict problem. Could
you please take a Clean Boot to test the issue? If the issue disappears in
Clean Boot, we can use a 50/50 approach to quickly narrow down which entry
is causing the issue.

Hope it helps.

This user is a domain user. When I log that user off and login as the Local
Administrator, the screen saver image worked. When I login as the user
again, then the screen saver image started to work again. The image was
working before, but stop working after I un-installed the Client Services for
Netware since our company has migrated to a Windows Server. No software or
hardware were added.

Thank You

Hi,

Thank you for your reply and let us know this is a domain user.

Firstly, given the current situation, I suggest we check whether it is a
computer problem or user setting problem.

1. Please logon another computer by using your account to test if it is a
user setting issue.
2. Please logon your computer by using another account to test if it is a
local problem.
3. In addition, please let me know if all screensavers cannot run or only
one specific screensaver cannot run.

Thank you for your cooperation.

Once I get reply from you. I will take a research on the issue and let you
know the result as soon as possible.

Thanks.
