Hi guys, can someone please help me out. I have just had to re-install
windows xp pro on my machine and the items on screen are huge. When i try to
alter the screen resolution on the properties- settings tab, it won't move,
it is stuck on 640 x 480. What can I do to alter it?

Install the appropriate video driver for your video adapter.

The slider doesn't move because the video drivers presently running do not
allow for greater screen resolution than what you are seeing..

Go to http://www.lavalys.com and download and run Everest Home edition..
ok.. when you open the program, look on the left side of the Everest Window,
and click on DISPLAY.. now click on GPU..

This window will tell you what video card is installed.. now scroll to the
lower part of the window.. you will see two http links.. one will be for
product information, and the other should be drivers.. click on the drivers
link..

From there, you should be able to install the correct drivers that will
improve screen resolution no end.. when on the drivers web page, take note
of driver installation instructions..

You need to locate the drivers for your video card, or onboard video
chip.
