scanning network problem on start up

My daughter is in college and she has no time to look into
her computer problems. She says that on starting up it
takes several minutes to load and says there is scanning
network problem message. She also says that sometimes her
desktop does not pop up on start up and she has to shut
down and start up again. She also said her printer will
not print any document from the computer, yet it will scan
and print things on it. It is a combination printer,
scanner and fax machine. What can I do to help her get
through this semester and be able to be more productive on
her computer. She would also like to print papers, etc.
without having to go to another computer.

Sounds like all you need is a Knowledgeable Computer

friend. You describe a need for a Proper Printer Driver
(S) install on the Computer. The others hard to say does
she shut right down,hibernate or log off, you get the
idea need feed back , any error messages etc.That printer
maybe back online if you uninstall and then reinstall.
Printer Man.web site should give you proper proceedure to
do this.

This is what she sent me tonight:

This is what my computer did today-
I started it up, it took a very long time to load, like 20
minutes before the desktop started up and was running my
online programs- it froze twice today as well- whenever
the computer is finally running it always says that there
is a network scanning error and I have no idea what that
even means. Sometimes my keyboard locks up and doesn't
work or it will act like I am holding down the shift or
control key while typing and I will have to hit either of
the keys to make it stop using that key even though I was
not using it in the first place. My printer will not take
command from the computer- I have tried to uninstall and
reinstall the printer and that did not work. Hope this
helps.
