I´ve the next problem ? I tryed to install Agfa SnapScan 1212p that has no
drivers for XP , and i have to change some values in the registry , but i
delete a folder and now i can´t Add New scanners , when i hit the link
("Add New") nothing happens. How can i fix that problem.
Do i have to re install XP ?

What makes you say that the Agfa SnapScan 1212p doesn't have any XP drivers. There are at least six different ones that I could find. Heck there's even Beta drivers that are around 8+ Megabytes for your scanner not to mention the ones offered by the manufacturer

If you follow that link up you get to the Agfa page for the driver
concerned which says very explicitly that these scanners do *not* work
with Windows XP. The drivers are for 98/ME/NT/2000 - only

These parallel port devices used drivers that work on methods that
bypass the OS, and which earlier systems allowed - but XP does not.
And in general makers do not seem to want to produce XP specific drivers
for what they see as obsolete technology. Scanners have in general gone
to USB connection - such as the Agfa 1212u version (which I have and
which works fine)
