scanner sharing

trying to share scanner on home network. sharing printer
is easy, when doing install, xp asks if it is a network
printer, but not with scanner. scanner/camera wizard also
does not allow network option. any thoughts?

It's not XP, it's the scanner itself. There are networkable scanners...
Epson has some nice units. They start at about $3000. In a home situation,
it's a lot cheaper with several PCs to get a $49 scanner for each PC.

Microsoft doesn't make scanners! They can only use what the hardware
manufacturers provide them with. So if the hardware manufacturer doesn't
make the device networkable, it can't be networked... with XP or anything
else!
