Scanner & Camera Wizard won't auto-run with JVC DVP1

Ever since I bought my XP-Home Edition, I have been able
to hitch my "plug and play" JVC Digital Camera (Model
DVP1) to the USB hub, and the SCanner & Camera Wizard has
started automatically.
Now it won't. Can't find any reason why it won't.
I need to transfer images from my camera as soon as
possible. The camera is power from the Mains Adaptor, the
USB cable and connections appear to be good, the PC tells
me that there is a "removeable storage device" recognised
as drive E:, the camera shows some activity in "Accessing
files" and then the whole thing stops as far as
transferring images goes.
Can anyone suggest what to do? Please!

.
Open your photo/graphics editor. Click "File" go down
to "Acquire", click it and select "Source". Select your
camera, click Apply. Now Click Acquire again and you can
download from your camera. WindowsXP has to know from
what source your want to download, either camera, scanner
or disk. You select the source and WindowsXP will do the
rest.
