Scan error code 0x8050800c

I just loaded Windowsdefender on windows 2000. When I tried my fist scan, it
was aborted with error code 0x8050800c. The error occurred when scanning file
winnt\system32\wowexec.exe. Any help will be welcome.

or 1347. If you are on 1051, I believe this issue is fixed in 1347. Go
to www.microsoft.com and do a new download of Windows Defender to get
the newer code.

I have the same problem. The scan hangs with an 0x8050800c error on either
the HKLM\Software\Classes\Magnet or HKLM\Software\Magnet registry entry and I
have the latest version of Defender 1347.

are you running Limewire at the same moment?
