ERROR:Error:0x8050800c.

The same subject again over and over. It's very annoying.
The same thing keeps happening. Last week , it happened again a couple of
times and it corrected it self.

Today, the same thing again. WInDef won't run, giving the same error code.

I think that the Microsoft guys are very good in taking our money, and when
troubleshooting is involved they sleep all day long.

In that case they sleep, the whole week. Please somebody wake them up please.

FIX WINDOWS DEFENDER!!

0x8050800C This message should indicate that you are running either
Microsoft Security Essentials, Microsoft Forefront Client Protection, or,
perhaps, Microsoft
Live OneCare.
Each of these programs provides anti-malware capabilities inclusive of what
Windows Defender provides, and far more.
You do not need to install Windows Defender if you maintain one of these
other programs.

I'm having a similar problem - getting the error when trying to scan with
windows defender. I run vista home premium and have tried system restore and
running the registry editor suggested - uniblue registry booster ... still
have same error --- would uninstall and reinstall the defender if I could but
it's rolled into vista. help would be appreciated. Norma L
