I have TWO PC's:

(#1:) Dell 2400 Dimension- Pentium 2.4 w/WIN XP HOME and XP2. 512
Ram. 80G HDD into 3 partions "C", "D" and "E".

(#2:) Home Built, DFI MOBO, 1.8G Celeron with WIN XP OEM and only XP1
installed. 256 RAM, 40G HDD into 2 partitions, "C" and "D"

On PC # 1, the Dell, I insert the Mini Cruzer, the green light comes
on, but no drive is recognized in MY COMPUTER. I restart. Nothing

On PC # 2, the Home Built, I insert the Mini Cruzer, I immediately get
the Sandisk Screen and I'm ready to work.
Any takers?

Has the Mini ever worked/been detected in the Dell ? If so do
you plug it into the same USB port every time?

If you insert the Mini on the Dell and go to Device Manager, &
enable Hidden Devices, do you have any unknown devices in
the USB Category ? With it inserted, check Disk Management
and see if it appears in the table. It should appear as Disk 1,
defined as Removable. If it is there, in it's bar description does
it show you an assigned Drive Letter ?
