Yes, but apparently the "instinct" does not use activesync, it uses a
different OWA protcal (no help from Sprint). My co-workers all use
Blackberrys or Windows based browsers on their phones, and they all took the
upgrade fine. my Instinct worked perfect with Exchange 2003, but nothing but
error messages now. What's the difference?

Did you ask the admin if they enabled active sync on the new server?

Oh, I bet you were using OMA (outlook mobile access) in a WAP browser - not
OWA. OMA is not available in Exchange 2007 - if your phone's browser
supports it, you'll need to use OWA (but its not very good on small
screens).

no, the work e-mail setup menu actually asks if I'm using OWA and then the
sever address and so on. Someone said something about "webDAV" needing to be
manually enabled on 2007 ,but it was automatic on 2003. Know anything about
that?

OWA cannot sync with anything. You must have a sync tool that connects
directly to the Exchange mailbox and either is not compatible with Exchange
2007 or no longer points to the correct mailbox.
