Hi:

I have four Dell Inspiron 2500 laptops, that
all have Linksys Wireless NIC's. On two of
them the "safely remove hardware" icon is
present and on the other two it is not.
I am using the same driver for the wireless
NIC on all four units. How do I get this
icon to appear on all four on my machines
in the notification area???

regards and thanks

Hi Dan!
Did you by any chance unplug the hardware?
Check in the device manager also.
If ok then follow this:-
Right-click the notification area, and selecting
Properties. Under the Notification area heading, click
Customize. Find there is Safely Remove Hardware icon
present in "Always hide" mode or not. If it is
in "Always hide " mode change it to "Always Show" modein
the Behavior column next to it > press OK and Apply to
back out.
