Safe Mode

I need a way to get into Safe Mode BEFORE the welcome screen comes on. There
is no start button at that point. I've tried hitting F8 and there is no safe
mode option on that pop up window.

Hi,
It can be difficult to hit F8 at the right time. Do a restart and from the
first sign of HD activity, start hitting F8 about once per second. That
should get you to the boot options.

Or, after a regular startup, Start> Run> (type in) msconfig> BOOT.INI tab>
Boot Options, put a check by SAFEBOOT. The next startup will be in Safe
Mode. Run msconfig again (when finished) to
uncheck SAFEBOOT. *Don't* accidentally check NOGUIBOOT.
