safe mode

Hi, Just after a bit of help here, I'm trying to fix my mother in laws
computer, but I cant remember how o start it in safe mode. Help me with my
mental block please!
 
when booting repeatedly press F8 until you see the boot menu then select
Safe Mode.

On my PC, I press F8 on boot, choose to boot from hard drive (rather than CD
or floppy), press Enter, then press F8 again (immediately). It then comes up
with several other boot up options including Safe Mode.
