Runtime Error

WHen i go into my word 2002, and i am typing up a letter, a box will pop up
and say
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Program:C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Office 10\WINWORD.EXE
Abnormal Program Termination
why is it doing this and how can I fix this problem?

Run detect and repair from the help menu - then see

I tried the detect and repair and then my medical spellcheck no longer worked
so I had to use the restore program to get it back. Why doesn't my spell
check work?
