Runtime error

Last few days receiving following message when I click
certain links to web pages:

"Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error
Program: C:\PROGRAM FILES\INTERNET EXPLORER\IEXPLORE.EXE
abnormal program termination"

I must click OK and browser shuts down. Then I must reopen
Explorer. My OS is ME. Any help is appreciated.
