Runtime Error!

I receive a "Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library" error
with the following description:

Runtime Error!
Program: C:\Program Files\Internet Explorer\IEXPLORE.EXE

abnormal program termination

OK


I select OK and then get booted off of the internet. Has
anyone else encountered this error before...if so, what
was the solution used to remedy the problem? I am running
Windows 2000 OS with Internet Explorer 6.0.

Runtime Library Microsoft Visual C++, Runtime Error Program
C:\Windows\Explorer.exe or Iexplore.exe, abnormal program termination.

also make sure you don't have both the Sun JRE and the Microsoft VM JIT
compiler enabled.
