Runtime Error when opening Outlook 2003

Hi,

For almost a week I've been receiving the following error message when
opening Outlook 2003:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library

Runtime Error!

Program: C:\PROGRA~1\MI1933~1\Office10\OUTLOOK.EXE

This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Any help/direction will be GREATLY appreciated!! Thanks...

Hmm.. I though Office10 = Outlook 2002

What service pack levels are you at for Office?
Anything in the application event log?
And does the same happen if you open Outlook with the safe switch?
(start --> run --> outlook.exe /safe)

Thanks for the quick response! You're probably right...might be 2002, sorry.

As far as service packs, I've got Office XP SP 1, 2 and 3.
Not sure how to check application event log - sorry again!
When I tried to open with safe switch, got error msg saying:
C:\ProgramFiles\MicrosoftOffice\Office10 refers to a location that is
unavailable.

Could that be my problem??? Thanks again for your help.

I suggested the safe switch as that wuold open outlook without any add-ins
for one.

Hmm.. maybe a reinstall is necessary?

I was afraid you were gonna say that! Do I need to uninstall before
reinstalling and how will I lose all of the messages I currently have?

Thanks again...
