How can I fix this problem I am having with Outlook?

`I have installed Microsoft Office XP Professional and I can not get Outlook
to work.
I keep getting the following messages.

Unable to ope default email folders. Could not open the item. Try Again
Would you like to open your default file system folder instead? I click on
yes then get
Microsoft Visual c++ Runtime library
Runtime error
program: C:\PROGRA~1\MI1933~1\office10\OUTLOOK.EXE
This application has requested the runtime to terminate it in an unusal way.

Have you created a mail profile under Control Panel->mail icon->profiles?
