Outlook quit sending or replying

Very weird. All of a sudden Outlook will not send a new message nor allow me
to reply to a message. I still receive email.
When I try to reply or send a new mail message, I get this error message:
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime error
Program: C\PROGRA~1\MICROS~2\Office\OUTLOOK.EXE
This application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual
way. Please contact the application's support team for more information.

Help!!
