Rules about copies of XP?

Just because he supports the rules that MS wants people to follow
doesn't make him ANYTHING - and certainly not a Naz.

No, he spews a lie about copyright law, in general, and then
specifically with Sec. 117, which is a LIMITATION ON THE RIGHTS OF THE
COMPUTER COPYRIGHT HOLDER! And copies and pastes it over and over
again! That what makes him a MicroNazi! He is the Goebels of the
convicted predatory monoplist here in this group! Had he cut it off
that it after "EULA," that would be fine. He has been called to prove
his nonsense time and again, and he keeps on lying!

"If you looked at the whole post, you would have seen that I explained
why he is a MicroNazi."

I have no idea what a "Naz" is! LOL! Now you are snipping in mid-word!
That would be
the same as calling you a TrollingNazPiracyAdvocate.

Big Deal. I'm a big boy. I can handle you lying about me.
If you can't
make your point without being rude then you're not really making a
point, your hiding from something.

I can do both. And have been for a long time.
What you should have done was presented the alternate side and been
polite about it.

What I should have done is exactly what I did. Over 400 posts of
bullsh*t, the scumbag deserves what he gets. If you look at my MVP Hall
of Shame, you'll see that it is very small. I have no problems with the
great majority of MVPs and am on friendly terms with many of them. You
just haven't been posting here long enough to understand that I have a
history with a rare few, and they have earned the lack of respect that I
show them. And out of the four in my MVP Hall of Shame, one of them is
only in there because he asked me to be included! Robert Moir. I give
him a lot of credit for exposing himself for opening himself up to being
lampooned by me.

I am being who I am, warts and all. I have a very weird sense of humor,
and I have a very cruel wit, when it comes to those that have earned it.

Love me, or hate me. There is usually no in between.

That explains a lot. And Howard may not be a liberal but he certainly
isn't a rightwinger.

I like Howard, it's too bad that they have to dead-space his shows and
that they don't show all content on "E".

And as is often the case with you Kurt.
When you have nothing of value to say you insult.

Your need to insult others displays plenty your own character clearly.

I have no need. I do what I want. Big difference.

Just like you do what you want, Juppy.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx LOL! Out of sight, out of mind,
what little of a mind you have, that is! ;-)

1 in 3000! Hardly anyone reads a EULA. All it is, is a extra
nonsense button to push on your way to install the copy of very
expensive software that was sold to you by the previous own of that
copy of software, the retailer.

Ya think it's nonsense? Spammers and scammers and all other scummy types
sure like that trait of the typical lazy computer user. LOL

Yea, I "listen" to him. As a person that can visualize a variety of
things, and having utilize that skill to build a business, it's easy to
visualize what he's talking about as I've already seen most of it :)

LOL! I wouldn't know. I spot that stuff from a mile away, long before
any EULA.

That would NEVER happen.
And never is a very long time.
I can see how you hold to agreements and would not enter an agreement with
you where I could ever possibly lose anything.

Good by Kurt.

hey , seems you guys don't have a friggin clue about the average computer
consumer .

WTF else in their lives have they bought a consumer electronics product
where when they got home and plugged it in that they had to call their
friggin lawyer before they could use it ?

Kurt, I hate to tell you this, but I've got a great sense of humor and
being old military I'm not insulted by much, if anything. Also, as you
mentioned elsewhere, I also listen to Howard most days and have never
missed a joke or been insulted by his shows.

On the other hand, your post didn't include anything that could be
considered a joke or humor. You constantly hide behind the snide
remarks and ill mannered comments. You are taken less seriously by
most each time you present yourself that way.

Try it for a week, don't make any snide/off-hand comments for a week,
and that includes the flippant way you change people's nicks - I bet
you can't do it.

Oh, the censors are out tonight!

I just love it when MS expends its manpower on me!

After reading section "a" of Bruce's link, it doesn't seem that it at
all applies to the single owner. I also noted that the word "OR" is
the linked in terms between explanation "1" and "2", as I noted it
doesn't say "and", which would be very different in meaning.

But if you take what this says in section1:

"that such a new copy or adaptation is created as an essential step
in the utilization of the computer program in conjunction with a
machine and that it is used in no other manner"

That translates that a copy of the Computer program can be used as
such with a machine for the same uses/pruposes, but not on just "ONE"
machine as it states "in conjunction".

"Limitations on exclusive rights: Computer programs" That's the title
of the whole section, and under copyright law "exclusive rights" is
pertaining to that of the copyright owner.

"Making of Additional Copy or Adaptation by Owner of Copy." That's the
Title of Section A. It's all about limiting the right right of the
software copyright owner having the total control over when an owner of
a copy can make Additional ones.

And part (1) is talking about the new adaptation, which presumes an old
adaptation.

Brucey is full of it, and he knows it, but doesn't care. He thinks the
more he repeats the same nonsense the more he is helping his beloved
Microsoft.

My RCBS Supreme came with a lot of safety paperwork and some warranty
paperwork. And I'm a 4H Certified shooting sports instructor - not sure
how either of our certifications makes and difference.

No, but they did come with a bunch of legal looking paperwork - did you
read it?

The point was not the EULA, but the reading of that legal looking paper
that's included with many purchases. Have you bought a DVD recordable
stand alone unit yet?

<Have you bought a DVD recordable

nope , but thinking bout it . damn , still can't see your irrational defence
of an obviousely flawed excuse for a legal contract MS calls their EULA .
however , the brutal winter weather (90+ ins of snow ) is starting to
subside and our conversation is begging me to dust off my shotgun cases .
hope the trap range is cleared enough ;-)

You can call it irrational, but that's an Opinion. Since I don't see my
abiding by the vendors rules as Irrational I don't see the problem.

The local public ranges opened 3 days ago here and I forgot to get a range
permit. I'll have to get one soon, need to warm up the 7mm Mag again.
