Rule setting and unread status

Hi,

I have just set up some rules in my outlook to place emails from certain
people and distribution lists into specific folders. Unfortunately when my
new emails arrive they are placed into the correct folder and appear bolded
however there is no subsequent entry in my "unread" folder. In my rules i
have unchecked the option to mark emails as read and still no any email that
goes through one of my rules does not get displayed in my unread email box.
HOw can i fix this?

Verify that the Unread Mail Search Folder is configured to include your
folder when doing the query as well.
