Outlook 2007 Rule Resulting in Duplicate Postings in Folders

I have email account "A". Most of the mail coming in through that account is
sorted out to various folders using rules - maybe 10 rules. And they are all
working except two. I'm only asking about one right now. The rule that is
giving me a problem is the last one. When mail comes in through account "A"
and it gets sorted through all the various rules, if none of the rules apply,
the email should go to folder "2" (we'll call it the 'last resort' rule). But
what I'm getting is this one email ends up in Inbox, folder 2, and the
Deleted folder - all unread. Since I have it set to show me how many unread
messages I have per folder, this is driving me crazy. So I end up having to
manually delete two of the emails. I've put the 'last resort' rule at the top
of the list of rules and at the bottom of the list. I've put stop processing
rules. I've tried 'delete it' and ' permanently delete it". I've tested every
way i can think of to test it and I just can't make it send the email to
folder 2, not be in the Inbox and not be unread in the Deleted folder. I'm on
a standalone - no Exchange. Here's how the rule reads right now (placed last
in the list):
Apply this rule after the message arrives
throught the "A" account
and on this machine only
move it to the "A" folder
and delete it
and stop processing more rules

Lastly, 'turn on this rule' box is checked. ALL help is greatly appreciated!

First, make sure the message is actually being received by account A. Add
the "E-mail Account" field to the Inbox columns so you can check. Second,
make sure any rules preceeding this one that move or delete messages have
the "stop processing more rules" action.

I don't get why you have both the "move it to the A folder" and "delete it"
actions. These two actions seem to be in conflict. I expect that
combination to produce two copies of the message, one in folder A and one in
Deleted Items, both unread.
