Retain Password and login/shutdown info

Hello- I have two questions. How do I get Win 200 to
remember passwords to various websites, it asked once and
a friend clicked on "no". I want it to retain passwords &
logons to websites.

Also, how to I get the pc to log in automatically? And
can you change Win200 to shut down itself (not have to
press power button)

Maintaining passwords for websites is a function of the
browser that you are using to view the site. If it's
Internet Explorer, then you want to use the Auto Complete

As to your second question, I'm not sure what you mean by
"log in automatically"? Maybe you're referring to the logon
box? To disable that this requires knowledge of the local
machines security policy which is a bit more complicated.
You should get with your sites admin for more info on that.
As far as the power button question all power features are
controlled from the Power settings in Control Panel.
