Restore file name Outlook1 Office Data File?

I was out of town for a few days. I use Outlook Express Version 6 and use
Windows XP. When I went to OE, my Inbox showed emails. I deleted a few I
didn't want and deleted emails from the Norton AntiSpam folder. When I
returned to my Inbox, I had absolutely no files. After much struggling, I
found a folder named: C:\Documents and Settings\Owner\Local
Settings\Application Data\Microsoft\Outlook\Outlook1. This was in a set of
files not visible on the normal Windows Explorer. The File Type is: Office
Data File. I emailed the file (as suggested) to OE and it arrived, but I
cannot open it. I've tried everything Help suggested. I also now have a file
named: Extend. This is a DAT file in the same folder as the above file but
I cannot open it either. Any help to restore these files to Outlook Express
or any help you can give would be greatly appreciated!

You are confused.
The file you found is for Outlook, not Outlook Express.
These are completely unrelated programs.
This is a group to support Outlook from the Office group of programs.
Outlook Express is a part of Internet Explorer and is a quite different
program despite its similar name..

You will probably get a faster and more expert answer if you post this
to an outlook express news group.

Try posting in one of these newsgroups:
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie5.outlookexpress for OE 5.x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie55.outlookexpress for OE 5.5x
microsoft.public.windows.inetexplorer.ie6_outlookexpress for OE 6.x

A good website for information on OE is:
