I have 2 inboxes in Outlook - how do I get back to 1?

I screwed up my Outlook file. Probably exceeded the 2G limit. Tried to use
suggested programs to restore it. Didn't work.
I then restored a previous version. But now I have 2 inboxes. Would like to
get it back to one.
Also have 2 files outlook.pst and outlook1.pst. I believe that outlook.pst
is the restored version. I think that new mail is going to outlook1.pst. How
do I get my mail to go to the original outlook.pst?
Also when I bring up Outlook now, it defaults to the new inbox. I would like
it to default to display the original mailbox

State your Outlook version first, along with the type of mail account you
use.

Open Outlook.
Tools -> E-mail Accounts -> View or Change Existing Accounts
Set "Deliver new mails" to whichever message store you want.

If the message stores have the same descriptive name, you need to
change them so you can differentiate between them. To do so:

File -> Data File Management
Pick a message store, click Settings

You can tell which one is which by the Filename field. In the Name
field, change the name to reflect what the message store is for. Then
when you want to select the one to which new mails are delivered, you
can tell them apart.
