reschedule recurring meeting

I have a custom calendar appointment form that is
published to the calendar folder.

The appointment can be moved with a mouse and rescheduled.

When I move it the first time, it sends an update to all
attendees.
However the second time, it becomes disabled (you can't
move it or
delete it). Any suggestions?
