Recurring appointment exceptions problem

We have quite a few users who use multiple recurring appointments for daily
bookings. Whenever a clients books into a certain time slot the user adds
the client's name to the subject of the recurring appointment, causing an
exception. Two of my users are now having a problem with these recurring
appointment. Whenever an occurence of the appointment is opened for editing
the dates revert back to the first date of the recurring appointment. If the
user doesn't notice they get a "Cannot reschedule an occurrence of the
recurring appointment "<0w#80>" if it skips over a later occurrence of the
same appointment." error. They can change the dates to the date the
appointment is to be schedule and the changes save properly.

I want to export the user's calendar to be able to re-import the recurring
appointment as individual items but I encounter another problem. Any
exceptions created since the above problem started (there are quite a few)
become mail items instead of appointment items, hence they don't get exported
when I export the calendar.

We are using Outlook 2003 with Exchance 2003 on Windows Server 2003. Can
anyone offer any insight as to why the date reverts back to the start date
and why the exceptions become mail message? Thank you very much in advance.

I have tried both, most of the exceptions do not get exported. The export
process seems to only want to export appointments, but most of the exceptions
seem to be mail items.

What format are you exporting them in? (Try Excel or CSV)

If you are exporting only the calendar it should export everything that
falls within the dates you select for the export. There are no mail items
on the calendar - only calendar items.

If something is corrupting them so they are no longer calendar items then
you may not be able to recover the contents.
