recurring appointments with purge policy

What happens to recurring appointments with no end dates if a 1 year purge
policy on calenders is in place and the original appt. has been deleted
beacuse it was 366 days old? Will the recurring appointments still be left
on users calendars going forward and can they still be changed by the creator
of the appt?

the appointment will not be deleted and the owner can change it.
