reply and forward

I have just installed a new email account on my computer.
I am out of the country for four months and have a local
DSL server. I can create and send new emails, receive
emails, but cannot forward a message nor reply using the
reply button. The online help person told me to renstall
the new account but nothing changed. Any thoughts. thanks

You will need to set your server to authenticate.

Post all replies to the group to keep the discussion intact. Due to
the (insert latest virus name here) virus, all mail sent to my personal
account will be deleted without reading.

After searching google.groups.com and finding no answer, barbara asked:

I am having the same problem as the OP with OL 1998. When I forward or
reply the message is placed in the outbox but then when I select the
account to use there is no task shown to send the mail. Receiving and
sending original messages works fine with this account and I have
checked the box "My server requires authentication" on the server tab.

Any other ideas/suggestions on what to look for?
