do people get replies to theirproblems???
if so where are they posted?? i had hoped to see a reply
to a problem of reinstalling the password for the
admisnistrator accidentally erased

Yes, people get replies.

Sometimes they even help solve the problem.

It helps to post the problem in the correct newsgroup,
post clearly what is your issue/error message/symptom
or whatever, and post any error messages you receive.

It isn't required but you are encouraged to try searching
either the FAQ (if their is one) or the Web (e.g., Google)
first.

If you cannot forumulate an appropriate search then you
probably cannot explain the problem (and vice versa if
you can.)

How about [ reset password "Windows 2000" ] ?

Here is a reply. I don't remember your original post, but it sounds like
you don't have the admin password. What you do in that situation is log in
with the backup administrator account that you setup immediately after
installing your operating system for an event such as this.

I haven't run across anything recently, but hopefully when I do post for SQL
help, people will be a little willing to help out since I try to help out in
the ASP world. :]
