saving emails from outlook

I have been having issues with outlook 2003 (student/teacher edition lately).
When I want to save an attachement and attempt to use the dropdown list for
specifying a destination it locks up the Outlook program and says not
responding. Increasingly I have been getting messages bounced back with a
"system admisnistrator-undeliverable" message stating "Relaying denied.
Proper authentication required" and one that states "Recipient address
rejected: Relay access denied".

These are problems that have cropped up recently. I wonder if
1) an unistall and reinstall of my program would help
2) I can save the email messages and folders in Outlook now to another
folder on my desktop without losing the messages in a reinstall.
3) How would I resolve the "undeliverable" messages and get the messages to
rely properly like they had been doing so well all along?

I've updated and run my Trend virus scan and several adware programs with no
bad results...

Thank you

Are you trying to send email from an email address from one ISP through
another? Say you have a Comcast account as well as an RR account. You
couldn't send the Comcast one if you're connected to the RR network. Does
that make sense?

We have Qwest as our ISP. I am relaying to several accounts including yahoo
and two or my work accounts. The yahoo address now keeps asking me for my
user name and password on the outgoing messages and will simply time out...
