repeatedly asking for password

Having a problem in outlook where system is repeatedly asking for password.
In the email account set up, the "remember password " box is checked.
When it asks for the password, the "remember password" box is unchecked. I
will type in password (again), then check box, but it will still ask for the
password again in about 5 minutes.
Have installed all updates for office, and have also deleted and recreated
the accounts.
This happens both on a network environment and home/standalone computer.
Our service provider said they were having problems with spam mail, but did
not think that this was causing our problem.
Any ideas???

That procedure does not fix the problem. I have the same problem with
Outlook and I did that procedure and it still asks for password. It does not
happen all the time. I called Microsoft support and they had no ideas
either. I do not understand what is wrong but one thing I do know is that no
one has been able to come up with a soluation that works.

The challenge is on for anyone who is up to the task.

Thanks

Tom

Hi Terry,
please set your send/receive settings to 15Min.
Maybe your Provider supports it!
