Hi

The screenaver files are kept in the %systemroot%\system32 folder. Any
screensaver you want to delete from the Display drop down menu can be
deleted from that folder.

Hi

The screensaver files are in the windows\system32 folder which can be
accessed via Windows Explorer. When in that folder search for :

*.scr

The resultant list will show all screensaver files installed. Delete any
that you don't want showing up in the Display drop menu.

Hi

Any .SCR file you don't want in the Display drop down will have to deleted
from the system32 folder last. So you will have to find all other
occurrences first and delete those. If you have deleted all those then the
one in the system32 folder shouldn't reappear.

Try the following from a command prompt to see what .SCR files you have:

cd\
dir *.scr /a/s

That won't work Will, as written and won't prove much. The steps depend on
whether the system is Windows or Winnt would be: cd C:\Winnt\System32\dir
*.scr

That said, most add on screensavers need to be uninstalled from Add or
Remove. Also just using the basic search for: *.scr would do the trick.

Hi

Have you had a look in the \WINDOWS\system32\dllcache folder to see if the
screensaver is there? If so delete it, then try deleting the screensaver
from the system32 folder.

I can't figure out where the .SCR file is being re-loaded from - if it's not
in the dllcache folder.
