Powerpoint Show as Screensaver

J

Joe

Can anyone please tell me how if and how I can save a PowerPoint Show as a
Screensaver.

I can go into My Pictures where I have the file but there is no option that
I can see that allows me to save anything as a screensaver, but it an option
is there to save as a wallpaper.

If I go into properties on the desktop and then screensavers there is no
option there to browse to the file that I want.

Using XP Pro SP2

Any suggestions please?

Hi Joe,

That file format, .pps, is not a supported format for a screensaver, nor
does powerpoint have an option to save or recompile a .pps file as a .scr
file (this is the file extension used for screensavers). There is an article
here on a workaround using the "My Pictures" screensaver:

Otherwise, you will need an application that is capable of building and
saving an executable in the .scr format. Try a search on google.com, there
are many of these applications available. I do not have a specific
recommendation.
