Removing downloaded headers from my Inbox

Dear Experts,
I am using Microsoft Outlook 2003 and am having trouble with
Message Headers that I have downloaded. It has so happened that I had
got around 1000 emails into my mailbox on our office email server.
Since I wanted to selectively download the messages, I decided to
download the message headers first, delete the unwanted messages and
download the useful messages only. However due to some bug in our mail
server (or Outlook - I am not sure) some of the header which I have
marked for "download" did get downloaded from our email server (and
hence deleted from the email server) but the entry for that email still
appears in my inbox. Now, every time I do a "Send and Receive", Outlook
downloads all other messages and finally shows an error saying "Some
messages you marked for download are no longer available on the server"
(error no. 0x8004210C). I would have ignored this but for the problem
that due to this error the messages that were downloaded are no longer
being deleted from the server and are again getting downloaded every
time I do a "Send and Receive" creating several duplicates in my inbox.
I there a way to remove these message headers from my inbox? Please
note that pressing "del" on the message header marks the message for
deletion but does not delete the header itself. Moving the header to
"Deleted Items" shows an error saying that the message relating to the
header must first be downloaded before this operation can be completed.

Thanks.

I've got the same problem, are there any news
about this issue?!? I've downloaded lots of
headers some day, and then the messages
were removed from server. And now there is
no way of removing the headers from my Inbox.
Grrrrr...

I have the same problem did you find a solution?

As you have NOT quoted the post you have replied to, so I don't know what on
earth you are really talking about,
(see this: http://www.netmeister.org/news/learn2quote.html)

I'm assuming that you are referring to message headers that have been marked
for deletion (i.e. with a strike-through).
If so, then go to Tools-Process Marked Headers.
