Remove Files From Desktop Background List

Artie B

Somehow, every individual photo in my "My Pictures" folder has been
added to my list of desktop backgrounds. I've done some searching
around, and the best option I've seen to remove these involves moving
all of my photos to a new directory, which would be a problem.

Does anyone else have a better solution, such as a modification to a
registry entry that will remove the program's "look" into the "My
Pictures" folder?

Thanks.

It may happen if you have been using some kind of desktop wallpaper manager
which also uses files at My Pictures folder (uni9nstazlling it may correct
the issue). Image files listed in the Background display options are the ones
stored under the ...\Windows\Web\Wallpaper directory, plus the background in
use if selected via the 'Browse' button. If you find your My Picture folder
contents here, it could be dangerous to delete. The best way is to really
relocate your My Pictures folder
