Windows Background Using Picture Folder on Desktop

I have a folder on my desktop with cemetery and vacation
pictures. When I recently went to change the background on
my desktop, I found that all the pictures from this folder
were included in the Control Panel, Appearance and Themes,
and Desktop. In other words, every picture is showing up as
a background! Also, the pictures and backgrounds in the
Background list (in Appearance and Themes) has changed to
..JPEG with a PhotoFinish4 Icon. I can't figure out how or
why the Desktop backgrounds are using the pictures from a
folder on my desktop. The folder is not any place else in
the computer except for on the desktop. They are NOT in the
Windows folder. Any ideas what can be going on? What is
linking it and how can I get all those pictures out of of
the background list in Appearance and themes? This is
driving me crazy!

Is the name of the folder "My Pictures" and did you by any chance relocate your My Pictures folder as well? If not, drag the My Pictures folder to the My Documents folder, it will relocate itself [registry keys]
