Changing the desktop background

The pictures in the MY PICTURES folder are not listed on
the Desktop tab in the Display Properties dialog box as
Backgrounds. Only those in Windows or Wallpaper are
listed. However, at work all photos in the MY PICTURES
folder are automatically listed in the Display Properties
dialog box. Why the difference?? Or why is My Pictures
folder not working??

If there is too many pictures in My Pics it hides them. Around 100 pictures.

Thank you. That worked. Can you answer this?? When I am
in the My Computer window or Explorer, it frequently
dissolves back to the desktop without provocation. This
is particularly annoying when I am trying to copy, move,
or delete files.

Upto 58 pics, it works.

58 just hides it.

If there is too many pictures in My Pics it hides them. Around 100 pictures.

Someone posted a message a few days ago either here or the photos group that if they had more than x (103 I think) photos in My Pics all disappeared. I created 110 photos and indeed they all went from Destop Properties.

I'm only assuming it's by design. It makes sense if it is (but ...). It's still only an assumption.
