We have Linksys gateway to dsl connection. We have 5 IP addresses with SBC
dsl & need to allow everyone to connect to their XP desktops separately. How
do I change Remote Desktop's port #'s & use the forwadring setup in my
Linksys gateway setup? Is there another work around or do I have to setup a
router (VPN) to accomplish this?

You could open mulitple ports on the router...

....or use a VPN or Secure Shell (SSH) tunnel to access any PC through one
port on the router. Personally I use the SSH method to access multiple PCs on
my home LAN.

Simplify your life. Try www.logmein.com They have a free account that lelts you remote control your PC with just a web browser without opening any ports and it is just as good as remote desktop. It is completely secure with 256bit encryption. I have used vpn's and such for years but this was the easiest solution I have found.
