I need help getting remote desktop to work. My host
computer has Windows XP Pro and my client computer has XP
Home. I have the host set up, but am unable to connect.
What kind of IP address do you use when you have a
router? The router has a WAN IP and a LAN IP. The host
has a 3rd IP address. I hope you can help. Thanks.

If your client computer is on the same LAN as the host computer,
connect using the host's computer name or its LAN IP address.

If your client computer is on the Internet, not on the LAN:

1. Configure the router to forward port 3389 to the host computer's
LAN IP address.

2. Connect to the host using the router's WAN IP address.
