Remote deskop sharing timeout?

A

Anthony Walter

Using NetMeeting, my remote desktop sharing sessions always times out
after approximately 20 minutes.

The timeout essentially ends the call as if it were hung up. There is
no warning message box. My computer just issues a beep and closes the
remote desktop window.

I want to prevent this from happening in order to have longer remote
sessions.

Can someone tell me if the timing out is normal behavior, and if so how
to turn off the timeout or extend the timeout period?

Thanks

I would post this question to the microsoft.public.internet.netmeeting news group. AFAIK there is no
configurable idle timer for NetMeeting RDS, but I could be wrong about that...
