Remote Assistance works from Help and Support, but not from MSN Messenger

Hi,

When I ask for remote assistance from my machine (SP2) using MSN
Messenger, when my friend press on "Accept" nothing happens... If the
request is sent through Help and Support it works though (from a test I
made with another computer on the same network).

Any ideas?

Use Remote Assistance via the Help and Support Center...

Hi Carey,

Well yes it works via Help and Support Center, but only on the same
network... Over the internet it doesn't seem to work since it sends the
local ip address to the recipient instead of the internet ip address.
That's why I was hopping to get it to work via MSN Messenger.

Any other ideas?

You need to use Windows Messenger, not MSN Messenger.
