Remote Assistance Help Needed

I've been trying to connect to my daughters computer through MSN messenger
to repair a few problems she has. So whenever I accept an invitation to
assist her (by clicking accept) I get the loading screen, then and error "
Remote assistance failed, please try again".

Both machines are running XP SP2. I've searched through all the MS articles,
checked the hotfix information etc. and all is good.
I've disabled my firewalls, anti virus etc, but I still can't connect with
her computer.

Any help would be appreciated.

You need to use Windows Messenger, not MSN Messenger.

Hello Carey:

Thanks for the useful information, by the way MSN messenger will allow a
remote assistance connection also. I can connect with my daughter using both
MSN messenger and Windows Messenger. She sees my desktop when I ask her for
assistance. Still for some reason, when she asks me, I'm still getting the
'failed to load message.

Regards
