Remote Assistance

I'm trying to help a friend but get the message Remote host name could not be
resolved. We are both using xp and Live Messenger to make contact. Mine
works fine when I test it on my home network so the problem is his end.
Remote assistance is enabled in both firewalls. We both have Mcafee installed.
Any suggestions?

If your friend's computer is behind a router or NAT (hardware firewall)
you have to open or forward port 3389.
