Remote Assistance won't connect

I have tried several times to for a friend to have remote access to my
computer to help me with something and when I invite .. I see the box that
says its sending the invite.. he gets the invite.. accepts it.. and then gets
an error that says he can't connect but we don't get any reason why. We have
turned off all firewalls and this access will still not work. Any
suggestions ???

You both have Netmeeting on your systems. Both of you run it, one of
you type in the other's current ip address. Once connected, click the
Share button at the bottom left, click Desktop, Share, Allow Control.
Your friend requests control, you accept, and he can see/control your
desktop.

The ip address can be seen by clicking Help, About Windows Netmeeting.
If your ip address starts off 192.168 you have a router blocking access.
Try having the other user email or call with his ip address.

The easies way to run Netmeeting the first time, click Start, Run, type
CONF, click OK.
